String Blade- Handy Little Cutters

Hi Strangers! Is anyone still here?  Heather here. Megan and I have been pretty dang awful at blogging lately. We have big plans and goals for the new year with our QuiltStory business, and we plan on being in better touch as well.

If you follow me on Instagram @quiltstory you probably know if this new exciting product my husband and I came up with. It is this cute little Stringblade "Handy Little Cutters for all your string cutting needs"  These have adhesive backing and you can attach these little guys anywhere you sew or hand stitch.

My very favorite placement is right here on my machine. Front and center. This is PERFECT for chain piecing cutting. The cutter is small enough to fit right between your chain pieced segments. Another girl used it for this purpose, but attached it to her ironing board. Clever!

Cute colors too! Pink, aqua and white.

I currently have 3 attached to my machine, and one on each of my car dashboards for road knitting and stitching. It did fine with yarn too. The blade is recessed and completely protected. Safe for little hands.

I have a coupon code for all our loyal blog friends (if you are still here :)  Use the code GIFT when you check out for 20% off your entire order. Perfect for Christmas gifts for your stitching friends. Click here to shop  http://quiltstory.bigcartel.com/

Alright, back to Christmas-y projects. Bye :)

Bountiful Holiday blog tour..my project!

Welcome to my stop on the Art Gallery Bountiful Holiday Blog Tour! Sharon Holland created a beautiful fabric line, and I was lucky to be able to participate.

This print is beautiful! The blue matches her eyes.

I sewed up some of her knit. Art Gallery knit is my favorite! Such good quality. Doesn't fade or stretch weird. Love it.

This little girl loves the "cold shoulder" look. She loves dresses and skirts and has worn this a ton already. Again, good quality, no fading.

Circle skirts get all the heart eyes!

She is working on her fashion blogging poses. Get them going young!

Save to say the outfit is a hit! Be sure to check out all the other posts on the tour. And there is also a giveaway of this pretty line! See this post for details GIVEAWAY

Pretty Handmades Blog Tour

I am so excited to be part of the Pretty Handmades book tour, Lauren Wright  aka Molly and Mama is the creative genius behind all the projects in this book! It is her first book. Everything Lauren makes is created with so much love, such sweet details! So many darling projects in here!

This book is full of fun little projects with the sweetest little details added to each one. I have so many more projects from here.

I made these sweet bookmarks! I need to practice up on my embroidery skills, my stitches are not great. Lauren's stitches are perfect!

I

I already need to make 2 more because two of my four daughters have already "called" these. And why wouldn't they?

The sweet strawberries with the little french knots are my favorite!

Keep an eye on Molly and Mama's posts for a fun Giveaway!!

Weekend Quilting Book blog tour, my stop...

Today is my stop on the Weekend Quilting blog tour. Weekend Quilting is a great new book from Jemima Flendt of Tied with a ribbon. It is a great book with tons of projects, and many small projects which is great for me these summer days when I don't feel I can get big projects done.

Weekend Quilting Showcase - Rectangle

I got my fabric from Willow Cottage Quilt Co, it is the new Tilda fabric line, Circus. The fabric is pretty precious, and it was a bit hard to cut into it. I am glad I did though!

My finished project! This darling little bunting. Just a sweet and easy project. Easy to follow instructions. And I LOVE all the flowers!

I've already hung it on the wall in the upstairs hallway. It is just sweet. I plan on making several more projects from this book. I was glad to be included on this tour. Below you will find links to several other bloggers, all made projects from this book. Serious eye candy!
